What happens after you post or claim a camp or event on FieldLevel

Learn how camps and events are discovered on FieldLevel, what claiming unlocks, and how to track athlete interest.

Written by Support

When your camp or event is on FieldLevel, athletes and coaches can discover it across the platform.

You may post an event yourself, or FieldLevel may already have an Unclaimed version of your camp that you can review and claim.

Where do camps and events appear?

Camps can appear on FieldLevel before or after they are claimed.

They may be shown in:

  • The Camps & Events map and listings

  • Search and filtered results

  • Athlete feeds (posted or claimed events only)

  • Coach timelines (posted or claimed events only)

  • Email notifications (posted or claimed events only)

This helps relevant athletes and coaches discover camps based on sport, location, recruiting interests, and other criteria.

What does claiming an event do?

If FieldLevel has already indexed one of your camps, you can claim it to confirm that it belongs to your program.

Once claimed:

Published under your name
Athletes will see that the camp is officially posted by your coaching staff.

Promoted to athletes
Your camp can be surfaced more prominently to relevant athletes on FieldLevel.

Analytics unlocked
Track views, registrations, and athlete interest in real time.

Full editing access

Update event details, dates, descriptions, registration links, and other information.

Claiming gives your staff control over the listing and unlocks the same tools available when you post an event directly.

Who is going to see my events?

Your camps and events are seen by a highly relevant audience, including:

  • Athletes who have marked your program as a target school

  • Athletes who match your program’s recruiting profile

  • Athletes browsing camps and events by sport, location, or date

  • Families and coaches helping athletes evaluate opportunities

  • Coaches viewing relevant camps on their timelines

This ensures your event isn’t just widely visible — it’s strategically visible to athletes most likely to attend and engage.

Which athletes see my events, and how do they see them?

Athletes discover your events through multiple channels:

  • Targeted Matching

    • Athletes targeting your program are notified when you post an event

    • Athletes who are a strong match for your program may also be notified, even if they haven’t discovered you yet

  • Camps & Events Map

    • Your event appears on an interactive map, helping athletes find nearby or destination events

  • Search & Filters

    • Athletes filter events by sport, graduation year, location, and date

    • Your event appears when it matches their criteria

How are athletes notified about my events?

FieldLevel notifies athletes in two key ways:

  • In-App Notifications

    • Athletes targeting your program see your event in the app on their feeds

    • Matched athletes also have relevant events shown in their feeds

  • Email Notifications

    • The same targeted and matched athletes receive email notifications, increasing awareness and attendance

These notifications help ensure athletes don’t miss opportunities that align with their recruiting goals.

How do I track who is seeing my events and performance analytics?

FieldLevel provides college coaches with clear, actionable event analytics so you can measure interest and prepare for recruiting in advance.

From your event dashboard, you can track:

  • Impressions – how many times your event appeared across search, recommendations, and notifications

  • Views – how many athletes clicked to view your event details

  • Clicks – engagement with your event page and registration links

  • Attending – which athletes have linked their profile to your event

Why this matters:

As athletes link their profile to your event, you can view their FieldLevel profiles before camp day — including videos, academics, measurables, and recruiting activity. This allows your staff to:

  • Scout and prioritize prospects in advance

  • Plan evaluations and staff coverage more effectively

  • Focus time on athletes who are the best fit for your program

Your analytics don’t just show interest — they help turn camps and events into a strategic recruiting tool.

Why post camps and events on FieldLevel?

Posting camps and events on FieldLevel helps you do more than promote dates and locations — it helps you recruit smarter.

With FieldLevel, you can:

  • Reach athletes who are already interested in your program

  • Get discovered by athletes who match your recruiting needs

  • Automatically notify athletes via in-app and email alerts

  • Track engagement with real-time analytics

  • Scout athletes before camp and arrive prepared

Instead of starting evaluations at check-in, FieldLevel helps you start recruiting before your camp even begins.
